Arlington sits between Dallas and Fort Worth, with rentals from the Entertainment District to older garden style complexes. We're a free locating service for renters with bad credit, a broken lease or an eviction. We look up each community's screening rules and send the ones that may fit. Each property still makes its own call.

Why Arlington Applications Get Turned Down

Most denials trace back to one or two items on a report. Pick the ones that sound like yours.

A low credit score or collections on your report

Broken lease from a prior community you owe money to

Eviction filed, granted, or dismissed on record

Misdemeanor or felony on your background check

Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy on your credit report

No credit history yet, or a credit file too thin to score

Real Relationships With Property Managers

Our team has more than 20 years in Texas real estate between us. We talk with property managers about their screening every day. Policies change, and we recheck a community's criteria with its office whenever we're unsure.

We Read Screening Reports Every Day

LeasingDesk, SmartMove, AppFolio: we read the screening reports the way property managers do, so we can tell what triggers a denial.

Where We Look for Second Chance Apartments in Arlington

We're the No Credit Check Apartment Team, brokered by Spirit Real Estate Group, LLC (TREC #562021). Arlington uses a citywide on demand ride service instead of fixed bus routes, so your commute tends to shape the search. Near I-30, communities sit close to the Entertainment District, AT&T Stadium, Globe Life Field and Six Flags Over Texas. Down along I-20, you'll find options near Arlington Highlands and The Parks Mall at Arlington.

A past eviction in Arlington goes through the Tarrant County justice courts, and one of them sits right here in town. Even a dismissed case can show up on a screening report. We check which screening company each community uses and how it reads your history. Knowing that first can save you a $50 to $75 application fee.

Older garden style complexes are often where the rent is easier on a budget. Pantego and Dalworthington Gardens sit inside Arlington's borders, and Kennedale and Mansfield lie to the south. Grand Prairie is just east. Around the University of Texas at Arlington and downtown, some communities may look at income and rental history when a credit file is thin.

Send us three things: your screening issue, target rent, and target neighborhood. We'll write back with Arlington communities to look at, free. Weekend messages most likely get a reply on Monday.

Getting around

I-30 and I-20 cross Arlington east to west, and SH 360 runs north to south between DFW Airport and Mansfield. Spur 303, known as Pioneer Parkway, cuts through the middle of the city. Many renters here drive, so we sort communities by the road you'll use most.

Transit: Arlington On-Demand, a citywide ride service run with Via with trips to the CentrePort TRE station

Arlington Renter Questions, Answered

How soon will I hear back about Arlington apartments? +

We usually reply the same day. Your list of Arlington communities comes back in 24 to 48 weekday hours. Messages sent on a weekend most likely get a reply Monday.

Does it cost anything to use your Arlington search? +

No. Our help is free to renters. The community pays the referral fee if you sign a lease at one we referred you to.

Can you find something near AT&T Stadium if my credit is weak? +

Some communities near the Entertainment District may take a risk fee or a guarantor when credit is weak. Others won't bend at all. We look up each one's criteria first. If the area is out of your price range, we'll point you toward South Arlington, Kennedale or Mansfield.

I don't have much credit history. Can I still rent near UT Arlington? +

Often, yes. A thin credit file is a different problem from a bad one. Some communities may consider income and rental history instead. Others ask for a bigger deposit or a guarantor. Guarantor companies like TheGuarantors and OneApp usually charge about 70% to 110% of one month's rent.

How does a Tarrant County eviction affect an Arlington application? +

Texas evictions are filed in Justice of the Peace courts. Screening reports can pick up those filings, dismissed ones included. Communities read them differently. We look up how each one treats an eviction before it goes on your list.

What income do Arlington communities usually want? +

As of 2026, many ask for about 3x the monthly rent in gross income. Communities that charge a risk fee generally look for 2.5x to 3x. A lower rent makes that bar easier to clear, so tell us your real budget.
